With the increase in petroleum prices combined with the publics desire for a cleaner type of heating source, Dennis Tremont entered the alternative heating source market. It started with seasoned firewood and wood pellets. Since it has expanded to include kiln dried firewood and enviro-bricks as well. Since 2012 Dennis has invested in a firewood processor, a kiln, and a wood wrapper to provide many options for purchasing firewood.
Our Process
Locally Sourced
After securing log lengths of different varieties of oak and other hardwoods from local loggers, we then process them in our Built -Rite Wood processor. The logs are sawed and split to a standard length and the split pieces are dropped from the conveyor into baskets.
Kiln Dried
We then put the baskets into our Kiln, which dries them for over a 20-hour period at temperatures over 170 degrees. The removes much of the moisture and kills any possible insects that reside in the wood. This part of the process not only makes the wood easier to burn but it also allows the wood to be taken to campgrounds and other places that often restrict wood being brought onsite do to issues with parasites and insects.
Delivered To You
The wood is either delivered to our customers, or then packaged up in our firewood wrapper machine and put on pallets for transport.
